ASP Web Portal
Application Service Provider (ASP) Web Portal is a collection of all web-based solutions created by ATG. A majority of ATG's clients use this as a secure gateway to accessing critical facility information. ASP Web Portal delivers facility information to client desktops, literally on-demand, 24-7, without investing in new software, hardware, or specialized CAD training. Authenticated users can perform a variety of tasks, such as printing and viewing floor plans, running reports, and editing data, all via a web browser.
ASP Web Portal has been developed from the ground up, using Microsoft's ASP.net technology and incorporating state-of-the-art hardware infrastructure to support it. The system is secured by two hardware layers—an Enterprise Router and Enterprise Firewall. Login is protected by Secure Socket Layer Authentication, while using ASP.net forms authentication with encrypted cookies for page security.

ASP Web Portal consists of the following subcomponents:
- Administrative Engine - Allows the authentication, authorization, and management of users. Using ATG’s administrative control panel, client administrators can assign permissions to, and audit, end users.
- CAD Management Engine - Allows users to access, manage, and download CAD files. This component simplifies the CAD download process with an easy point-and click interface, as well as a powerful document management interface.
- Data Management Engine - Allows facility managers to edit data without
knowledge of CAD, while providing the ability to search for multiple
criteria and globally replace data.
- Hatching Engine - A
primary example of ATG's cutting edge technology. This
technology has been developed from the ground up using
very low level Application Programming Interfaces, optimized for speed, with its own
memory management routines. The hatch server has the ability
to highlight certain sections of floor plans based on query
parameters and create a visual report. The
process works as follows:
- Users select certain parameters from a query page
- The hatch server opens AutoCAD heavyweight DWG file online
- Sections are highlighted based on the query, and the results are converted into a DWF file
- DWF file is streamed for browsing
- Mobile Management Engine - An interface to manage mobile devices from the web portal. This component uniquely identifies a connecting mobile device and its Internet Protocol address. It also summarizes work done as part of each synchronization and uniquely tracks the synchronizing end user.
- Security Engine -
Provides page level security to each user logging in, keeping track of username and profile as part of the entire session. Users are authenticated with per session cookies and allowed into areas of the web portal according to assigned permission levels.
- Reporting Engine - A report creation component that includes the following functions:
- Creating customizable, on-demand reports in a variety of formats, including HTML, Excel, and Word
- Querying data using multiple criteria
- Interfacing with Maintenance Management Systems and other costing tools
- Linking attributes in drawings to information
