Infectious Disease Management
ATG’s Infectious Disease Management solution allows epidemiologists to visually track the locations of positive cultures reported by the microbiology lab. The solution is a web-based interface between the CAD layouts of the medical campus and the microbiology laboratory data. This allows the systematic upload of positive cultures and their locations, that exclude any patient-specific information.

The Infectious Disease Management application consists of the following components:
Lab Information
Connection: ATG creates a site-to-site Virtual Private Network, between its SQL Server and Client SQL Server.
Extraction: Based on agreed upon time interval, patient test data will automatically be extracted from Client servers. Time interval is customizable and can vary between a day, a week or a month. All patient identification information will be stripped out and extracted data can potentially be according to the following format:
- Culture Collection Date
- Culture Positive Date
- Culture Source
- Organism Type
- Building
- Floor
- Room Number
- Bed
- Unit
Drawing Stacking Diagram
- Select and view 3 floors in separate frames
- Select start and end date in the filter
- Drawings are stacked one on top of another
- Each room that is positive is identified with a horizontal bar and color-coded by specific disease
- Length of bar identifies number of occurrences in that room
Drawing Hatching Diagram
- Ability to query the database and hatch (color code) the drawing based on multiple query parameters
- Example query would be to search for a specific disease in a particular floor
Data Charting
- Analyze the database and come up with sophisticated pie, bar, and stacked charts for easy decisionmaking
Data Reports
- Ability to provide a pre-defined data list of all problem areas
- Ability to summarize various data points
