Facility Document Management
ATG's Facility Document Management (FDM) application is a web-based document management system specifically designed for the management of construction documents. Documents are organize in a project-based format and are retrievable in an efficient, intuitive manner. The FDM application is an effective way to electronically store such documents as warranties, OEM manuals, and as-built layouts.

The FDM application consists of the following components:
- FDM Document Repository
Information about each document is stored and indexed in an “intelligent” format within an Enterprise database like Oracle or SQL Server. This allows authorized users to intuitively search the entire system based on any criteria. An effective FDM needs to be intelligent to allow searches based on file name or similar to Google-based on a term or search word within the content of the documents. For example, a user can search the entire system for any documents or drawings pertaining to “Health Sciences Building Life Safety.”
- FDM Queries
This component simplifies document querying by implementing a point-and-click interface. Pre-defined reports are created as per the client unique requirements.
- FDM Control Panel
This component is used to upload documents, create mappings between documents and Contractors/AE Firms. This component requires administrator rights and used to manage the information within the application.
