Life Safety Master Plan

Today’s focus on the cost of healthcare begs the question: Can facility costs in construction and operations be reduced without affecting patient care? At the same time, can a facility manager perhaps enhance the life safety for patients and employees?

A detailed Life Safety Master Plan will help identify the life safety features required for compliance and assist in evaluating the options for the future while minimizing the construction of non-required fire and smoke walls.

The Life Safety Master Plan is a living document that is impacted by changes to the campus buildings as well as applicable codes. It indicates existence of fire and smoke barriers, evacuation routes, and shows locations of fire protection system components. Such information is also considered as a pre-incident planning tool by your local fire department.

For over fifteen years, ATG and its life safety code consulting partners have been involved with the development of Life Safety Master Plans for some of the most prestigious healthcare organizations across the U.S.

One of the unique advantages of ATG’s life safety master plan solution is our web-based facility information technologies, which provide authorized users with intuitive access to life safety information with the scalability to address the Joint Commission SOC and other related tasks.

ATG's Enterprise Active Visual System™ gives users easy point-and-click visual access to fire protection and damper layouts.

Users can extract SOC data (see image below) directly from life safety layouts by simply clicking on an individual deficiency icon.

Detailed information on deficiency items is extracted directly via CAD layouts.
