ATG's web-based Facility Document Management (FDM) services eliminate the need to store piles of paper documents and provide easy electronic access to them. ATG's FDM is specifically designed for the management of construction documents.
The unique feature of ATG's document management solution is that it does not require an on-site installation of hardware or software. This is accomplished by incorporating the data into the Document Management module of the Enterprise Active Visual System™, our highly intuitive web-based technology that is hosted directly by ATG.
The process starts with the conversion of reference construction drawings into electronic documents. FDM then assigns "intelligent" attributes to each document including building name, floor, A/E firm, and other pertinent criteria typically found in the title block of each construction drawing.
Drawings can then be queried and accessed based on any data field assigned to each drawing.
