ASP Web Portal

Application Service Provider (ASP) Web Portal  is a collection of all the web-based solutions created by ATG. A majority of our clients use this as a gateway to access their facility information. ASP Web Portal delivers facility information to our clients' desktop, literally on-demand, 24-7, without investing in new software, hardware, or specialized CAD training. ASP Web Portal is accessed by authenticated users through an internet browser, and can be used to view and print specific floor plans, and access a wealth of facility information.

ASP Web Portal has been developed from the ground up, using Microsoft's ASP.net technology and incorporates state of the art hardware infrastructure to support it. ASP Web Portal is secured by two hardware layers, namely the Enterprise Router and the Enterprise Firewall. The login page is protected by Secure Socket Layer Authentication and the Web Portal uses ASP.net forms authentication with encrypted cookies for page security.

ASP Web Portal has the following sub components:

  • Administrative Control Panel - This is the engine behind the authentication, authorization, and the management of users. This technology provides Portal users page level security.

  • Web Reporter - This report creating solution performs the following tasks:
  1. Creates reports on various formats, i.e. HTML, Excel, and Word
  2. Queries data using multiple criteria
  3. Interfaces with Maintenance Management System and other costing tools
  4. Links an attribute in a drawing to its record information
  5. Creates customizable reports on demand
  • Hatch Server - This server is a primary example of ATG's cutting edge technology. This technology has been developed from the ground up using very low level APIs, optimized for speed and with its own memory management routines. Hatch Server has the ability to highlight certain sections of floor plans, based on query parameters and creates a visual report. The process works as follows:
  1. User selects certain parameters from a query page
  2. Hatch server opens Auto CAD heavyweight DWG file online
  3. Highlights certain sections based on the query, and converts it to a DWF file
  4. Streams the DWF file to the browse
  • Web Editor - This software component helps the facility manager to edit his data without knowledge of CAD, and the ability to search for multiple criteria and globally replace data.

  • Corporate Resource Center - This is a web-based document storage solution for fast search and retrieval. The system enables users to search for documents based on name or content, using already-built indices. Although any document can be stored in the system, the content-based search may function only on common formats such as MS Office, PDF, or text.

  • Facility Document Management -This is a web-based document management system that is specifically designed for the management of construction documents. Documents are organized on a project based format.

  • Life Safety Manager Control Panel - This is the web front-end to the Life Safety Manager Software.  Once Pocket PC users synchronize their data,  they can use the control panel to manage their SQL Server database and run intelligent reports.
